The one who, blind to the horrors of the universe, became everything#

I’m WISH, but I also tend to commonly go by Jackal, Dazzle, or Howl, as well as many other names. I understand my gender to be very nonhuman, but otherwise generally all-encompassing; as such, though I have a strong sense of identity when it comes to my sona(s) and such, I enjoy when people come up with their own representation of what I am and depict me in such forms.

I am a university student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

My passions lie in machine learning, though my views on it are a mixed; I’m averse to generative AI and the so-called “general artificial intelligence” AI companies believe exists and understand the concerns that need to be addressed before it continues to scale out of control, but I want to do AI as a whole right, because it has fascinated me from the moment I laid eyes on it.

In recent years, I’ve become an enjoyer of open source software; notably, I started daily driving Linux in the fall of 2023 and have never looked back since.

I’m currently mostly present in the mashup tournament community, primarily doing quality control on the mashup side. If you know me and want a second pair of ears on your track, please send it over; I’d be happy to give it a listen.

I want to try to get back into music production again and get out of programming burnout, but it’s been difficult to do so.

In general, feel free to reach out. I may be withdrawn at times, but I still like hearing from people.
